BUFORD PUSSER HOME AND MUSEUM
THE MAN, THE LEGEND...

Buford Pusser, McNairy County Sheriff from 1964 - 70, was a man whose
exploits against crime cost him pain and heartache. His war against the
Mississippi state line and illegal activities caused the Sheriff to be
stabbed and shot many times. Pusser's wife was killed on August 12, 1967
in a predawn ambush.
Pusser's exploits resulted in two books and three "Waling Tall" movies.
The man's life, both before and after he became famous, can be examined
up close in the former Pusser home in Adamsville.
